Student Success: From Course Completion to Podcast Launch

One of the greatest rewards of teaching is watching students take what they’ve learned and turn it into something real.

Today, I’m excited to spotlight one of our full-course graduates, Nick Holbrook, who has officially launched his podcast, It’s All About Communication!

The show is now live on Spotify, with the first four episodes published and many more on the way. In fact,

Nick has already recorded 20 episodes — an incredible accomplishment for any new podcaster.

A Podcast Rooted in Real Conversation

Nick’s central idea is simple and powerful: in an increasingly technological world, person-to-person communication still matters deeply.

And he explores that idea across a wide range of conversations.

His guest list already includes:

  • Business professionals

  • Musicians

  • Fellow authors

  • A well-known stand-up comedian

  • An international organist

  • Two young entrepreneurs

  • A nurse with 40 years of experience

  • A linguistics expert

  • A social media specialist

Each episode runs about an hour and centers around the many places communication shapes our lives — work, school, relationships, politics, music, writing, art, and more.

Why This Podcast Works

If you know Nick’s background, it makes perfect sense that he would create a show like this.

He’s a former modern languages teacher, spent years in sales and the tech world, is a published author, speaks multiple languages, and has experience in acting and comedy. He also completed our voice-over training and has narrated audiobooks.

He brings all of that life experience into his interviews.

After listening to the first episode, I had one clear reaction: he sounds like a pro.

  • His interviewing style is gracious and thoughtful.

  • His pacing is steady and confident.

  • He listens carefully and asks strong follow-up questions.

  • He is prepared

The result is a conversation that feels intelligent, natural, and deeply engaging.

For anyone interested in podcasting — especially interview-style shows — there is a great deal to learn just by listening to how he handles his guests.

Why I Hope You’ll Listen

I’d love for you to check out It’s All About Communication! for three simple reasons:

  1. To support a fellow member of our learning community as he launches something meaningful.

  2. To explore the topic of communication — something that impacts every one of us.

  3. To study his interviewing technique and see what thoughtful preparation and presence can create.

There is something powerful about seeing someone take training, apply it, and bring their vision to life.

If Podcasting Is on Your Mind…

Nick’s podcast is a wonderful example of what’s possible when you combine skill development with action.

If you’ve been thinking about starting your own podcast — or going deeper into voice over and audio production — the Mic to Market Masterclass Bundle provide the exact framework he used to move from idea to execution.
