How do you describe your Voice?

When it comes to marketing your voice, the words you choose to describe it are critically important.

When searching for voice talent, agencies and producers look for specific words. Your demo, your website, your online profiles should all include descriptors of your voice. But what words best describe your voice?

Listen to your own demo with an unbiased ear. Make a list of words that you think describe your voice. Then, ask a friend or family member to do the same. You might be surprised that they hear something entirely different than you.

Take that list and make adjustments to your profile. Your best chance of getting hired for VO work is if you're a good match for what the producer is looking to find. Be specific and accurate with your description.

Take a few minutes today to evaluate your own voice.
